About
I’m a musician, composer and performer based in Paris, working across film scoring, experimental performance, and amplified music.
Classically trained in piano, music theory and trumpet at the Claude Debussy Conservatory, I later studied contemporary music at ATLA (Paris). Since 2015, I’ve collaborated with film composer François Staal and co-founded the rock/noise band The Psychotic Monks — as vocalist, synth player, bassist and co-composer.
With over 500 shows across Europe and four albums, the band explores a raw, hybrid sound drawing from punk, rock, electronic and experimental influences. In 2022, we composed the original soundtrack for Transylvanie, a short film by Rodrigue Huart awarded at Gérardmer, SXSW, and with the Méliès d’Argent.
paulparking
In parallel to The Psychotic Monks, paulparking emerged in 2024 — a solo project blending modular synths, trumpet, and voice in immersive, improvised live performances. It’s music for healing, for trance seekers, for kind souls looking for rhythm and space in a broken world.
Born in a van, Paul Parking is driven by emotional truth, poetic revolt, and a deep desire for a more inclusive, tender, and liberated future.
